About this project
The Chamber of Chat is a completely free, Shockwave-based 2D chatroom for Harry Potter Fans of all ages. The chat features over 30 locations, customizable witch and wizard students, several “special” characters like trolls, elves, and ghosts, a fun pictionary game, and a HP trivia game with over 3,000 questions. The site features rich illustrations, Flash animations, random Flash video, user-created news and events, and a forum.
For safety, the chat features a robust moderation system, swear filtering and has a team of 12 moderators from all over the world. The site is part of The Leaky Cauldron. forums, which is the number 1 Harry Potter fansite in the world, and one of the top 10 fansites of any kind.
The Chamber of Chat has received an “Adobe site of the Day” award, and has been nominated for several online community awards. The user-base for this chat is small, but has a close-knit community of users.
